Question by : 14 and Taking Pregnancy Test? Please Help?!(:?

So I had unprotected sex with my friend 4 days ago. I need to know as soon as possible if I am pregnant or not. I took a test 2 days ago and it was negative but I guess I can still be pregnant? I only have 2 more tests left now. My period is suppose to come in a little less than 2 weeks. I really want to know before that because I am young and need to find out what to do and everything. I don’t know a lot about this. So when is the soonest possible that I can take a pregnancy test and the positive will show up and be accurate? I really need to know. Also any other tips/advice/help or anything else you know about this will be so great and lots of help, email me if you can help more! I am really scared and worried about all this. Please Help!(:

Pregnancy test only work as soon as five days before a missed period. And usually most women don’t test positive until four weeks so you’ll just have to wait it out then take one if you don’t get your period and be careful if you aren’t you can get far worse things from sex than a baby

Any idiot can have sex, but it takes much more to be a responsible, mature and financially stable parent. Age DOES matter! Maturity is gained through life experiences and life experiences are obtained over time.
Getting knocked up doesn’t magically make you mature or a responsible adult! Don’t say “age doesn’t matter”, because the youngest mother recorded was 5yrs old!

Be at least 21 (25+ is best)
live within your means INDEPENDANTY (meaning NOT with mom and dad)
be married (or have life partner)
have at least $ 5,000 just for the baby
able to spend at least $ 400/month on the baby in addition to normal bills
both own cars (or just 1 if you live in a major city and use public transportation)
both have careers (not just jobs)
both have AT LEAST graduated high school (better if you both have degrees)
BOTH WANT KIDS
Have insurance (home/renters, auto, health)
I’m adopted, and the system is flawed! (I was lucky and got adopted into a wealthy and loving family, but that’s rare. Adoption is like dropping a pet off at the shelter, getting a family is NOT guaranteed) The world already has TOO many unwanted kids, so don’t choose adoption either. At any given time there are OVER half a MILLION kids in need of foster/adoptive parents in just the USA. Chances are your kid will end up abused or on the streets if you go with adoption.
I had an abortion when I was 18 and it was the best decision I ever made for myself! (I had plans and a future ahead of me) I have NEVER regretted that choice! And that was 9 yrs ago. I’m kid-free and HAPPY, and thankful! No pain No regret No problem!

If you are really worried about this you can get a blood test at either the doctors or a clinic. There are parenting clinics and advice centres that can give you a test. A blood test gives a very accurate reading at this early stage.
For a urine test you will probably have to wait at least 10 more days, it usually takes 2 weeks to show but can be even longer. The first sign is usually a missed period, most women will not get a positive test until after they miss their period.
There is a 24 hour window for pregnancy in the whole month, so if you have sex within 24 hours of ovulation you will get pregnant (no one really knows when they ovulate and also sperm can live for about 3 days so you could say between 4 and 1 day ago you can get pregnant). Many couples have unprotected sex for months before they get pregnant, others only have it once. There is just no way of knowing!
Unfortunately,you will have to wait until you miss your period to test again. There is no way it can come out positive if you had sex 4 days ago. Now, its too late to take PlanB (this is taken 72 hours after unprotected sex) to prevent pregnancy. If you do become pregnant(Looks likeyou were ovulating) and you dont want the baby, the only way out would be abortion. Be safe next time,

You tested WAY too soon. Wait TWO more weeks before testing again. If that one’s negative, wait ANOTHER week after that to test again. Then see your doctor for prenatal care or BIRTH CONTROL. If you are not old enough to protect yourself, you are not old enough to be having sex. Even if it means you have to tell your mother what you have been doing, you need to be using birth control in the future.
If you had sex 4 days ago, your body won’t even know that it’s pregnant. You’re only 14, use condoms and/or get on birth control. Wait a few weeks before taking a test. If you get your period you’re most likely not pregnant. But you won’t know for a few more weeks.
Unfortunately, waiting is the name of the game. There is no dependable way to know for sure if you are pregnant until you have MISSED your period. It takes until this time for the egg to implant itself into your uterus and it is then when the hormones are secreted and the test can pick up on them to reflect a positive result. IF you are pregnant, the egg is traveling down your fallopian tube and making its journey to your uterus where it will implant (around the time your period would start). So, the day that you expect your period, is the day to test. Good luck and keep your mind busy until that time cause stress can delay your period as well. =)
you can test 5 days after your missed period but it may not be accurate. your best bet is to wait it out and test a few days after you miss your period and take the test first thing in the morning. right now it is too soon to take a test and get a accurate reading. don’t stress at hard as it is not too. there is some factors that also need to come into play like ovulation. some but not all women do ovulate before their period but most depending on the person is more so after. but that is not a free ride so just in case you are not if you have sex any time soon please be as careful as you can. in case you are pregnant right now there is a 50/50 chance but look for these signs after a few weeks. headache sore or full breast darkening of your nipples nausea. a lot of these things also come with your period but once you miss and start or still having these symptoms than well you have a good idea. if the test was to come out positive go to planned parenthood or your local health department to get it confirmed at no charge. the hardest thing will be to tell your parents and you will have to tell them you can not just hide it and it is bad for you and the child (if there is one). just remember they will be mad yes but they will get over it in time. for now deep breaths and wait and see that is all you can do.
Yeah, like others have said you will have to wait. Take one when your period is a day late, then wait and take the next one a week later.
Feel free to stress, I would, but keep in mind that it could delay your period.
And, I don’t get why everyone else always says “this person is too young” I know when I was in high school lots of people were doing it, so I don’t understand how the majority of people freak out when they hear of a minor having sex… like this is new…
Anyway, just wait a couple weeks to test, then take it from there. If it is negative, but you still don’t get your period in the next week, take the other one (so after your period is late by a week), that one should be more accurate from the first.
Just keep this experience in your mind, and always use protection from now on. Even if you have to tell your mom your periods are irregular and you have heard that birth control will regulate it better (its true) and want her to take you to a doctor. Get at least on birth control, but remember condoms can help prevent diseases. Just stay safe and avoid having to deal with this again.
